The Kershaw 1720 Junkyard Dog I highlights stainless-steel composition intended for heavy-duty performance. The blade is constructed from Sandvik 13C26, a stainless chromium steel that supplies superior solidity and exceptional corrosion resistance. The JYD I handle is made from 410 stainless-steel for impact strength and corrosion resistance. An innovative one-handed, index-finger opening method (Flipper) initially builds up pressure and at that moment pops the blade up out of the handle for simple deployment by either left- and right-handed knife users. A locking liner anchors the blade in position, while a detachable pocket clip keeps the JYD I close at hand.
