Dark as night, this SpeedSafe fast-opener is a covert must have. The Kershaw Blackout series are some of the first of Kershaw's Ken Onion SpeedSafe knives and still among the best. These Kershaw Knives feature 13C26 stainless-steel blades for strength and corrosion resistance. The Kershaw Blackout 1550ST knife includes a contoured handle of injection-molded polyimide, an extremely durable engineering plastic (of course, you already know that), for a comfortable and stable grip. It also comes with a convienient removable stainless steel pocket clip. while stainless-steel liners add to the overall handle strength.

This knife has traveled the world over and was left on a ferry going to China one time, sure missed it then. First thing off the plane in Houston, I went out and got another one. I carry one at all times, have one in the jeep, one in my back pack. I have giving then as gifts and gave them to my daughters in the Air Force. One time the spring assist broke, they gave me a new one. I have never had a BETTER knife.

An excellent knife. I received mine as a gift about 8 years ago, give or take, and it's performed above expectations since day one. I judge all other knives of this type by this one.

I bought this knife four years ago. I loved every bit of it until the spring assist broke after two years of daily use. I still use it every day and even though the assist no longer works, but it still opens and folds smoothly. No regrets, I want a new one again.
